We are proud to be able to honor three distinguished gentlemen this year.
On the field or off, each has made a mark in their chosen profession and we are very pleased that they will be joining us in August.

    Joe Montana

Playing football, making spectacular fourth-quarter combacks and winning Super Bowls are all part of the legend of Joe Montana, the former San Fransisco 49ers quarterback who might have been the greatest ever to play the game.

Joe Montana, selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 1979 National Football League Draft, had a stellar career with the 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. A master of late-game comebacks, Montana directed his teams to 31 fourth quarter come-from-behind wins during his illustrious career, including a 92-yard drive in the closing seconds of Super Bowl XXIII.

Eleven times the "Hall of Fame" quarterback led his team to the playoffs. Along the way, he captured nine divisional championships and victories in Super Bowls XVI, XIX, XXIII, and XXIV. His outstanding play in Super Bowls XVI, XIX, and XXIV earned him Most Valuable Player honors in each game. Montana’s poise, agility and patience under pressure is legendary.

Montana lives with his wife Jennifer and four children on a ranch in Knight’s Valley, north of Calistoga in the wine country. They have transformed their love of the valley into a collaboration with Beringer to create “Montagia,” a signature cabernet sauvignon blend. Montana has also co-authored a new book titled “The Winning Spirit” about success using his football experiences – things like preparation, humility and leadership.

    Dusty Baker

Network baseball analyst for ESPN’s “Sports Center” and ESPN’s “Baseball Tonight” shows during the 2006 League Championship Series and the World Series.

840 victories as manager of the Giants rank Dusty second in New York/San Francisco Giants franchise history and ranks #1 in San Francisco history. He has won the National League Central Division Title in 2003, National League Pennant in 2002, two National League West Titles, Wild Card Title and has finished first or second in the division 9 times in 14 years.

As a player Dusty Baker spent 16 prestigious seasons with Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Oakland. Final career stats include a .278 batting average, 242 home runs and 1,014 runs-batted-in.  Clutch statistic: Dusty is an MLB leader in career walk-off home runs with 25. He was twice selected to the National League All-Star team, appeared in four National League Championship Series, selected NLCS MVP after hitting .357 in the Dodger’s 4-game series with Philadelphia and has won the World Series with the Dodgers and beat the New York Yankees in 1981.

Dusty was an active member of the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1969 through 1975. He founded the Dusty Baker International Academy of Baseball in Sacramento, now entering its 24th year. Dusty is very active in the community and supportive of charitable organizations.

    Richard Pachulski

Mr. Pachulski received a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, 1976, from U.C.L.A., and his J.D. from Stanford University in 1979. Mr. Pachulski is also the founding shareholder of what today is known as Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl, Young, Jones & Weintraub P.C. (the “Firm”). The Firm presently employs 60 attorneys in four offices, which constitutes the largest restructuring boutique in the United States.

Mr. Pachulski has extensive experience in business reorganizations as well as debtor/creditor litigation. During the recent past Mr. Pachulski has been cited by the publication Turnarounds & Workouts as one of the top national bankruptcy attorneys and by California Law Business as one of California’s 100 most influential attorneys.

Mr. Pachulski is also a principal of two nationally recognized real estate concerns: Rubin-Pachulski Properties and RPD Catalyst.

Mr. Pachulski is actively involved in various aspects of UCLA and has performed significant pro bono work as outside general counsel to Wilshire Boulevard Temple.
